This may be because I am technically challenged at the moment, and had to revert to an old iOS 4.3 phone temporarily(argh !!!!) but...

There were only a couple fields that showed up on my sub form. When I tried to go back and edit, all I got was a comment, in which I added a service manual, an operators manual, and a link to a page with lots of specs that are beyond my capabilities to translate into the correct database fields.

I do own this equipment, and will upload a pic as soon as I resolve my charger issues, however, if anyone is interested in completing the page with the details I added in that comment- please do. The specs are beyond my comprehension.

Fwiw- the websites I referenced appear to be quite comprehensive. The manuals site had a bigger selection than many others I looked at. Unfortunately, their data entry accuracy and cross-referencing is quite lacking. Ex: if you can't find your model listed, choose something close- the manuals are for multiple models, but the site only indexes one, or in my other case, 400 was listed as 4000.

ah that comments box was the "information about this edit" box.

Hi!

Thanks for the feedback, sorry you were having issues using Gearogs!

There were only a couple fields that showed up on my sub form.

You used the 'Add Turntable' form, right? http://www.gearogs.com/add/gear?preload=turntable

When I tried to go back and edit, all I got was a comment, in which I added a service manual, an operators manual, and a link to a page with lots of specs that are beyond my capabilities to translate into the correct database fields.

So, you got to http://www.gearogs.com/gear/4471-Pioneer-PL-400/history where you made the comment.

When you tried to edit, you got to http://www.gearogs.com/gear/4471-Pioneer-PL-400/edit , which is the big 'general' gear form.

The turntable form is only for adding turntables, it can't be used for editing. It is just designed to make adding the turntable simple.

The big form is designed for all kinds of data, from turntables, to speakers, synths, amps etc.

The field you are looking for on that form is "External References". Click that button, add in a description of the link, and the link itself (the URL). Then you can save.

Hope that helps!
